Migrate from PlanGrid

Autodesk stopped selling PlanGrid to new customers, and every existing account gets moved onto
Forma Build at renewal. If your team specializes in inspections, you now have access to a purpose-built
solution designed exactly for the way you work.

What you gain

Ask instead of dig.

In PlanGrid you navigate, filter, and scroll to find what you need. In TruScope you ask, by voice or chat, and the answer comes back in under three seconds, with the exact sheet, spec, or RFI cited as proof.

Speak instead of type.

“Cracked conduit at grid B-4” becomes a logged,
assigned ticket before you’ve walked ten feet.

The report writes itself.

Your field notes become the inspection report.
The hour you used to spend recreating it back
at the office is gone.

How the move works

01

Book a migration demo. Bring your live PlanGrid project and we walk it through TruScope on the call.

02

Start a 60-day pilot. Connect a real project and inspect with TruScope alongside your current setup.

03

Decide on real numbers. Inspections completed, time saved, reports generated. If it didn’t earn the switch, walk away.

Why this is
happening

Autodesk acquired PlanGrid in 2018. PlanGrid is no longer available for purchase by new customers. Existing PlanGrid accounts can still log in and work today, but Autodesk moves each one onto Forma Build as its renewal date comes up. “Stay on PlanGrid indefinitely” isn’t one of the options on the table.

Forma Build is a full general-contractor platform: scheduling, bidding, cost tracking, meetings, workforce management. For a GC, that’s a serious tool. For an inspection team, it’s a platform built around someone else’s job. You’d be paying for, and clicking past, modules you never open.

What you keep

Everything PlanGrid did for your inspection day, TruScope does: sheets, revisions, issues, reports, offline access. Your working habits survive the move, and you’re not relearning your job.

What’s different

TruScope isn’t a general-contractor platform, on purpose. There’s no bidding module, no scheduling, no cost tracking.

We match Forma Build only where inspectors actually live: sheets, revisions, issues, reports, offline. If your team needs the full GC suite, Forma Build is the right migration. If your team needs inspections done fast and defensible, that’s us.

Frequently asked questions

Not for existing accounts. You can keep logging in today, on the web and in the mobile apps. But Autodesk isn’t selling it to anyone new, and every account gets moved to Forma Build at its next renewal. There’s no path where “stay on PlanGrid” is a long-term option.
